Fiat has unveiled a new 4x4 version of the third-generation Panda, which is set to make its world debut at the 2012 Paris motor next month. The default mode of transport for Southern European hill farmers, the Panda 4x4 has also developed something of a cult following in trendier Alpine resorts thanks to its functional-tough body clad aesthetic and handy small size.
THREE QUARTERS of drivers say they are concerned about new technology that automatically changes the speed of a car. These Intelligent Speed Adaptation (ISA) systems are designed to force cars to drive within the speed limit and can automatically reduce a car’s speed without the driver’s input. The Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) says 75% of drivers it asked thought ISA systems would compromise safety, while 78% did not want to see this technology retro-fitted to older cars.
The Ellure is one of the most significant new car concepts to be unveiled at this year's LA auto show. A D-segment-sized sedan, the project has seen input from both Nissan's studios in Japan and NDA, where the concept was completed.
